Government partnerships


Conservation Volunteers has a long history of working in conjunction with all levels of government to deliver a range of conservation and community based programs. The initiatives we are involved in range from youth training programs to volunteer interpreting and community health and wellbeing.

Green Gym

Conservation Volunteers has partnered with Parks Victoria and Go for your Life as part of the Active in Parks Partnership encouraging and supporting active community participation and activity in parks. At Green Gym you can have fun outdoors, discover the wonders of nature, have a great time with your Green Gym team mates and help your local environment through hands on conservation activities.

Volunteer Interpreter Program

Tidbinbilla is a 40-minute drive from Canberra so this Program is only suitable for people who live in the ACT or surrounding area. Volunteer Interpreters provide information to visitors at the Visitor Centre and along trails in the Sanctuary, a newly developed wetland area. There is also the opportunity to help with the wildlife programs at Tidbinbilla.
