Commonwealth Bank Green Ambassadors
This is the third year that the Commonwealth Bank and Conservation Volunteers Australia have come together to recognise, reward and support 20 young Australians who demonstrate leadership in environmental conservation.

Celine Steinfeld
Clovelly, NSW
The 22-year-old student was chosen because of her involvement in leading others towards a greener future in her local community. Driven by sustainable practice and a passion for the preservation of the natural environment, Celine has shown a particular talent for sharing her knowledge with those around her. She has been recognised for many environmental awards including awards from Clean Up Australia and her Local Government.
Mark Cahia
North Epping, NSW
The 17-year-old Epping Boys High School student was chosen because of his involvement in Hornsby Bushcare, the Paramatta Council Water Symposium, the Earthwatch Student Challenge. Mark also volunteers at Taronga Zoo and helps with vegetation rehabilitation in his local community.

Blackheath, NSW
The 17-year-old Katoomba high student was chosen because of his involvement in activities such as Tree Day and the OzGreen leadership program in his local community
Turia Pitt
Sydney, NSW
The 20-year-old University of New South Wales student was chosen because of her involvement in Eco-colleges, Miss Earth Australia, UNSW Landcare, volunteering with Conservation Volunteers Australia and being an active member of several on campus activities in her local community.

The 16-year-old Kormilda High student was chosen because of her involvement in volunteer work with Conservation Volunteers Australia and Landcare in her local community.
Gary Woods
Alice Springs, NT
The 20-year-old Alice Springs student was chosen because of his involvement in the Green Corps program in his local community. Gary has been instrumental in planning the revegetation of Diarama Park. Working as a horticulturalist, Gary has developed an excellent knowledge of local plants, weeds and environmental issues.

The 17-year-old Stanthorpe State High student was chosen because of her involvement in Clean Up Australia Day, the Wilderness Society, Landcare events and Queensland Youth Environment Council's Environmental Education Group in her local community.
Jennifer Sanger
Bardon, QLD
The 23-year-old Griffith University student was chosen because of her involvement in volunteer work with CVA, the Greening Australia nursery, Sea Turtle monitoring, the Wilderness Society and Griffith Uni's biodiversity study in her local community.
Ryan Dillon
Kenmore, QLD
The 23-year-old was chosen because of his involvement in the Queensland Conservation Council, Save Our Water Ways Now, the Wildlife Preservation Society of Queensland and other volunteering activities in his local community.
Tony McCarthy
Delaney's Creek, QLD
The 17-year-old Tullawong State High School student was chosen because of his involvement in National Tree, Clean Up Australia and Threatened Species Days, the Queensland Youth Environmental Council and the Australian Youth Climate Coalition. He also established the first Environmental Council in his local community.

The 23-year-old was chosen because of his involvement in Landcare, Youth Conservation Corps and Conservation Volunteers Australia activities in his local community.

The 22-year-old University of Adelaide student was chosen because of his involvement in his local Landcare group focusing on preserving and revitalising one of Adelaide's last natural river environments.

The 18-year-old Urrbrae Agricultural High School student was chosen because of her involvement in Trees for Life, Urrbrae Conservation Volunteers, the Youth Environmental Council and environmental support programs in her local community.
Leith Robson
Mount Gambier, SA
The 18-year-old Mount Gambier High School student was chosen because of his involvement in the development of his school's recycling and waste minimisation program. Leith has shown huge initiative when working with his peers to improve the efficiency of environmental activities in his local community.

The 16-year-old Launceston Church Grammar School student was chosen because of her involvement in initating a school environment club for organising activities that contribute to the conservation of her local community.
Alan White
Ringwood North, VIC
The 17-year-old Southwood Boys Grammar School student was chosen because of his involvement in Clean Up Australia Day, Rubbish-free lunch day, School Pride Awards, the Waste Wise Fair and Waterwatch in his local community.

The 17-year-old Ballarat Grammar student was chosen because of his involvement as the environmental convenyor of his school student environment committee.
Tom Dowsley
East Doncaster, VIC
The 18-year-old Doncaster Secondary College student was chosen because of his involvement in Clean Up Australia Day, National Tree Day and an environmental awareness program in his local community. Tom has dedicated his own time and resources to the education of others on the environment in his local region. Through his work he has become an active participant in the coordination of a local community group that focuses on water quality monitoring, the local frog population monitoring and vegetation management.

The 22-year-old was chosen because of his involvement in as the environment officer for the Victorian Branch Rover Council and several other volunteer projects in his local community.

The 23-year-old University of Western Australia student was chosen because of her involvement in promoting sustainability initiatives, promoting recycling and avoiding water and energy wastage in her local community.
