Members bring strength in numbers. Your support is part of a growing group of members, and proves that you care about our environment. Every new member helps Conservation Volunteers Australia attract more support to protect our landscapes, wildlife and heritage.OPPORTUNITIES TO GET INVOLVED
By joining Conservation Volunteers Australia, you've already shown your great support for conservation. For those who wish, there are plenty of opportunities across Australia (and overseas) for more hands-on involvement. Join a volunteer project on a weekend, take part on a residential project, enjoy a social activity or join one of our Friends of Conservation Volunteers groups. Whatever you choose, you’ll enjoy fun and friendship with the chance to learn all about protecting the environment. Our professional Team Leaders will provide the training you need to complete conservation projects safely and effectively.Our members receive the Conservation Volunteers News, full of informative stories and eco-tips, delivered three times per year, plus a monthly e-News, and a car sticker. Members also receive our beautiful full-colour Conservation Calendar annually, or a supporter’s wristband for Young Members (aged 23 and under).
Members also enjoy the opportunity to buy discounted gifts and conservation merchandise from our Eco Shop, and can join our regular conservation training programs and social activities.
Membership Categories:
Individual: $75 non-voting* / $125 voting*
Young Member (age 23 and under): $35 non-voting*
International Member: $100 non-voting*
*A non-voting member is a person who has paid the membership fee and is provided with all the benefits of membership in return. A voting member pays the fee and also is provided with these benefits, but in addition has rights and obligations according to Conservation Volunteers Australia’s constitution. To become a voting member, you have to agree to be bound by the constitution. If you do not specifically agree to be bound by the constitution, you are a non-voting member. A copy of the constitution is available on request by phoning 1800 032 501. Voting membership carries with it legal obligations and rights as defined by the constitution.
Friends of Conservation Volunteers
Joining a Friends of Conservation Volunteers supporter group is an additional option for members. Members who choose to join their local Friends will enjoy plenty of opportunities such as:
• Regular volunteering on local projects
• Opportunities to support Conservation Volunteers Australia in a range of other ways, including fundraising for projects or resources which you help to identify
• Training and skills development
• Key volunteer roles within Conservation Volunteers Australia
• At our properties, Friends have the chance to be a real part of the conservation story by joining in with special Friends activities
• For some of our focus projects, such as Wild Futures, Friends may take on fundraising, promotion and volunteer recruitment and be part of special exclusive activities or ‘behind the scenes’ exclusive events
