Are you aged between 18-25 years and looking for
the Adventure of a Lifetime?
Come to California with Conservation Volunteers!
Experience the pristine wilderness of California, learn great life-skills and help with
valuable conservation. Assist the California Conservation Corps (CCC) in their
efforts to preserve natural areas throughout the state, including the beautiful and iconic
Yosemite National Park.
The California Conservation Corps has been exchanging volunteers with Conservation Volunteers for 21 years. Learn fantastic skills in teamwork, conservation activities, working in wilderness environments and make great friends overseas!
Activities may include: Restoring historical buildings in Santa Barbara,
planting trees on a beach in Malibu, Flood & Disaster Training or trail
maintenance and salmon habitat restoration in Yosemite National Park. There
will also be plenty of exciting opportunities for sight-seeing and exploring.
This is a trip of a lifetime – a chance to explore the remote wilderness areas of
California and work with a dynamic, experienced team!

Program Dates 2010:
Team 1: Friday 20 August - 17 September (4 weeks)
Team 2: Friday 17 September - Friday 15 October (4 weeks)
Program Price: AUD$1,000 includes all meals, accommodation, project-related
travel throughout the program, conservation training, 12-month
membership to Conservation Volunteers and Australian Geographic Society
and subscription to the Australian Geographic Journal or Outdoor magazine.
