This fantastic weekend Nature Break will immerse you in the breathtaking coastal scenery of the shipwreck coast along the Great Ocean Road. Help to maintain this picturesque part of Victoria with conservation activities and then enjoy the sights of the 12 Apostles and Great Ocean Walk before meandering back along the scenic, rugged coastline of the Great Ocean Road on the Sunday looking for koalas and other wildlife.

Conservation projects and activities

During this short break experience you will spend a day assisting with conservation worlk along the iconic Great Ocean walk including track maintenance and removal of weeds to help preserve the local habitat. Other activities include:

• A walk at Moonlight Head along the Great Ocean Walk
• 12 Apostles
• Spectacular Great Ocean Road coastal drive and scenery
• Local wildlife - Kangaroos and Koalas
• Accommodation at Moonlight Head with ocean views

 

Accommodation

Accommodation is provided at Moonlight Head Lodge. The lodge was re-built from the original early farm homestead and is located within 1500 acres of private land overlooking 6km;s of private wilderness coast. The area is a wildlife sanctuary for rare species as well as kangaroos, wallabies, echidnas, koalas, birds and native reptiles. Rooms are comfortable with shared bathroom facilities.
