Naturewise Eco Weekends

Fortescue Bay, Tasmania

Location: Fortescue Bay

Departs: Hobart

The team will leave from Hobart and travel via the Tasman Highway to Fortescue Bay. They will have the opportunity to visit some natural geological formations on the way, such as Tessellated Pavement, Tasman Blowhole and Devils Kitchen. On arrival at Fortescue Bay the camping arrangements will be organised. The team will then assist with some native vegetation management. During their free time they may wish to explore the short walks around the bay or do some exploring along the beach. As dusk approaches they will have the opportunity to observe the wildlife that visits the campsite.

The following morning after breakfast and, for those early birds a view of a picture postcard sunrise, the team may participate in more native vegetation management or assist with a beach survey. After lunch we will pack up the tents and equipment and travel back to Hobart taking in some more of the sites to be seen in this beautiful coastal region.

Your participation will make a positive difference to Australia’s environment.
